FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
I just got in from the Wood Wood show, which actually started out with
a small marching band - i thought that was pretty sweet!
If i could make dreams come true, i would be wearing the blue and
white striped shirt dress from Wood Wood SS10 right now, and on my way
out for some beers in the sun.
I didn't get very good pictures from the show, but this was how it went down.
By the way, i also fell in love with the outfit in the picture, i want
a little hat with my ponytail sticking out!
FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Yesterday i went to see the Spon Diogo show, and outside the show tent
i met Nanna Flachs in this beautiful white dress. I love the really
exaggerated shoulders and the simple end clean look.
Oh and the show was beautiful, now i want heels with shattered glass all over.

Prix Émile Hermés

I went to see the exhibition at the Danish Design Centre yesterday and you still have the chance to see it Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The exhibition presents the finalists in the grandiose European design competition that was launched by the international fashion house Hermès in spring 2007. These are my favorite designs.

Soulland for the win

Yesterday i went to the Soulland show and afterparty. It was a really
good show with both male and female models, all of them in mens wear,
of course.
The afterparty was at Jolene's in Kødbyen, and it was a lot of fun,
nice people and beer!

how i saw everything at that time.

Lights in the night

During Copenhagen Fashion Week there are lots of events to attend even though you don't have tickets to the different fashion shows. One of the great things is that you are actually able to see the shows just after they end. Not just via the internet, but also in the streets of Copenhagen like here.

THE BLOGGERS GET TOGETHER FOR FASHION WEEK

OUR SECRET SPOT

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Our favorite bar the last couple of years has been Café Halvejen which is an old bar with a lot of history. The bar which has been around since 1789 serves traditional "smørrebrød" until about 3pm and has very cheap pints. Even though it's located in Krystalgade next to the Vibskov store, there are hardly any people we know there. We come here when we want to escape from people we know and people we really don't know, whom we are obligated to say hello to. Here we have spent a lot of hours drinking beer and discussed our plans with our blog and other ideas. So when we need a break from all the fashion parties next week, this is the place you will find us.

SAM's BAR

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Yesterday was one of those spontaneous nights which ends up being more fun than you ever had imagined. After a couple of beers we met up with our friends Nina and Kristine and went to Sam's Bar to sing karaoke. Nina was by the way wearing a fantastic dress bought at Weekday which gave her that perfect romantic singer/songwriter look. Even though Sam's Bar definitely isn't a place we come often, it was the most fun we've had in a long time and it instantly became our new favorite bar. As fun as it was, the annoying part of last night is that 99 Luftballoons still is buzzing inside my head.

STYLE.DK @ RUSKI

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
If you're in the mood for a party this Friday you should definitely drop by the bar "Ruski" located in Pistolstræde, central Copenhagen. From 5pm there will be served free beers and shots, and we will be dj'ing, playing all our favorite music and try to get you guys to dance on the tables!

WORLD OUTGAMES

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
This week Copenhagen is the host of World Outgames, an international sport (and party) event for homosexuals and lesbians. The city is filled with people from all over the world celebrating human rights, freedom and love. Yesterday I stopped by Vor Frues Plads, a square in Copenhagen city to listen to some fun music sung by "Tina Turner", "Whitney Houston" and other divas. It was a fun night with all kinds of people just dancing and having fun in the streets.

IN HONOUR OF MJ

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Right now I`m sitting at the office, working and listning to Michael Jackson and suddenly I have this urgent lust to put on my vintage vest covered with MJ buttons and go out and dance. I have never worn it before but I think that to night is the night, and if not to night, you will see me wearing it on a dancefloor somewhere this weekend.

MINIMARKET

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
In late June we went to Stockholm to check out Fashionweek by Berns. Even though the list of brands showcasing this year were rather short, some of the brands had used their creativity to find other ways of showing their s/s 10 collection. One of these were Minimarket which did a guerilla activity where models dressed in their newest collection were walking in a crowd, stealing the attention at shows and around hotel Berns. We really think this was a great way of doing something different and what we saw made us really curious to see Minimarket's show here in Copenhagen Wednesday.

Copenhagen Inc // Ink

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Our friend and Acne sales agent Christel, is always good-looking with her tattoos and clothing-style with a twist of rock 'n roll. Recently she got this beautiful clown tattooed on her arm by the artist, Eckle, who was visiting Conspiracy Inc and Uncle Allan in Nansensgade for a week. The clown which we know from old circus posters and the china all girls played with in the 90`s, suits her arm so great and it turned out just like she had imagined. Christel`s next tattoo will be done by Uncle Allan, probably the most popular tattoo artist in Copenhagen, but sadly she has to wait until December because of the enormous waiting list. If you don`t have the patience to wait a year to get tattooed at Uncle Allan's, Copenhagen has a lot of other talented artists where the waiting list might be shorter. Try for instance Amina, Kiley or Brianna at Brightside Tattoo in Christianshavn or Franz at Le Fix, Nørrebro.
If you want to see more of Christel she has recently become a blogger on cristalmilk. This is truly an awesome blog, very entertaining (and in english!). Enjoy....

PHOTO FUN

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Today we decided to fool around a little with our friend Jason Alami and his camera. The pictures which originally just were meant for fun on a boring Monday, ended up being so good (at least we thought) that we decided to change our blog picture with one of these. To see what picture we chose, check out our blog style.dk.

PARISTEXAS

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Today we dropped by our favorite Copenhagen store Paris Texas, for a
chat with Maria, the store owner. Maria is a friendly and stylish
woman, not to speek of an excellent buyer as she carries many of our
favorite brands such as Damir Doma, Rick Owens, Robert Geller,
Alexander Wang among others. Usually we are on the look for exciting
men`s wear but this time it was actually a pair of women shoes that
caught our eyes. These stilettos from Chrissie Morris is simply
perfection and they are definitely the most sexy shoes we have seen in
a long time.

BACK TO REALITY

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Monday morning reality hit me again as I was back at the office. No more lazy beach days for sure! What felt like a million mails had to be answered, press releases and various media work had to be done. During Copenhagen Fashion Week, Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair is showcasing for the first time outside Sweden and we are in charge of the PR. Therefore, invitations had to be sent out, RSVP's taken care of and other things related to their show. We also do the PR for M by M's show at Cph Vision, Øksnehallen and are doing a thing called "Look of the Day" for L'oréal Paris. So the days at Patriksson Communication is hectic, but hey, busy is good and it's easier to go back to work when you have a lot of fun stuff to do.

MR. STEEL SNAKE

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Our good friend and storemanager of the nice store Nag in Silkegade, Christian Madsen, always has an inspiring style. We have posted pictures of him tons of times on our blog style.dk, everytime to the thrill of our readers. This time we got our talented photographer friend Jason Alami to shoot him in a studio showing off his wicked style. It should also be said that Christian among others, recently started the band Steel Snake which are playing live the 8th of august at Gallery Forum when the Danish brand DANSK are showing their s/s 10 collection. Be sure not to miss it!

THE POWER OF THE SEA

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Even though it might sound like a cliché, there is nothing that inspires me more than the ocean. Coming from a Norwegian harbor town, boat trips, fishing and beaches has always been a huge part of me. The feeling of the fresh breeze, the salty smell and the seagulls singing (or whatever they are doing) is doubtlessly the best medicine for a stressful mind and the best way for recharging my batteries. Last week my girlfriend and I went to this little pittoresque bay in Greece called St. Pauls. Here I really got to relax and empty my mind by the turquoise water, before heading back home for the fashion race in Copenhagen starting next week.

SHOWS

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
If I were to choose which fashion shows I could attend this coming Copenhagen Fashion Week this is what I would do:
I would go see the Danish Design School Graduate Show and the TEKO graduate show because I love to see what the upcoming talents in fashion think like.
Then I wouldn't miss Spon Diogo, Stine Goya, Carin Wester, Ivana Helsinki, Noir and Henrik Vibskov.
I can't wait until the Copenhagen Fashion Week SS10 starts. I love the way the city seems like it's filled with new energy.

NEON

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
So now I have arrived to the infamous Las Vegas. Until now my impression of the desert-city can be described in three words: glitter, money and of course gambling.
These things seems kind of monotonous after a short period of time, but one thing you definitely have to see if you want to visit Las Vegas is the Neon Museum. The Neon Museum is actually not a museum yet, but many art students are working full time - without getting paid - to raise money to build a museum containing old neon signs from Las Vegas dating as far back as to the 1930s. So today I got a tour through "The Boneyard" with the signs situated away from the Strip and all the glitter and this was amazing. Here are some of the photos I took, but you owe it to yourself to give it a visit someday.

Copenhagen is a city with a lot to offer. My three favorite places in the center of Copenhagen are: Charlottenborg, Pisserenden and the area around Pilestræde. I'm moving to London this Summer to see what another city has to offer and hopefully to fall in love with it, but my heart still lies with Copenhagen. Here are some nostalgic photos of the center of Copenhagen.

Here the boots are handmade with the best quality leather using the finest craft-techniques.

COWBOYS AND INDIANS

Is a magazine I don't usually read, and after reading it at my hotel here in Texas, I'm convinced that it won't be in my magazine rack in the future. But the title actually inspired me to write a post. If Li Edelkoort tells us that the future trend is turning towards a return to the country and our roots, maybe we should start giving it some more focus? Either way I now have a chance to show you some photos by one of my favorite photographers; Greg Kadel. He's an American photographer from Philadelphia and as you can see, he's been inspired by cowboys and indians.

The Jersey Lily

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Is the nickname of Lillie Langtry who was a famous British actress born in 1853. She was encouraged by her close friend Oscar Wilde to begin her acting career, having her debut in 1881 in "She Stoops to Conquer" her talent started to show. It was not just on the stage that Lillie was successful. She also had success with the men who all adored her and wanted her to be their mistress. Actually this is why she has become known to me. Right now I'm on a road-trip through the US. One of our stops on the way was the town of Langtry, Texas. The infamous Judge Roy Bean - who you might have heard about in some Lucky Luke films - ruled the town. Judge Roy Bean was an ardent admirer of Lillie, and named the saloon where he held court "The Jersey Lily". He also spread the rumor that the town was named after her. Last but not least he named his own residence the opera house in anticipation of a visit from her.

I love these old pictures of her.

NEW WAVE

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
I have to share my little obsession with you. I have an obsession with almost every French black/white film. Especially the ones directed by the amazing new wave filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard. He was born in Paris and his movies are always extremely stylish and inspiring. Every detail has been thought about. The women always look chic and the men look sharp in their tailor-made suits. If you don't know any of Jean-Luc Godard's films I suggest you get your hands on his "À bout de soufflé" from 1960. To show you his universe here are some photos from three of his films.

BACKSTAGE

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Have you ever wondered how it's like behind the scenes of a fashion week? Here are some photos behind the scenes of the Copenhagen Fashion Week AW09 taken by my good friend and the amazing photographer; Olivia Frølich. I think they capture the hectic - yet exciting - atmosphere that lies behind a fashion show. The air is full of energy in a way that's hard to compare with anything else. Everyone has a deadline and is working hard to make it. The first photo is from the Louise Amstrup show, which opened the fashion week. The second one is from the Stine Goya show, which was like going to a fancy circus with beautiful girls swinging like gymnasts from the ceiling. The last one is from the Ivana Helsinki show, which was filled with stars and glitter.

HUSTLIN'

Like everybody else, I'm very inspired by the Swedish singer Lykke Li. She has great style, rocks the stage and seems like a cool person.
I want to show you a video of her performing, that inspires me. She's on the stage at the hip fashion/performance/art gallery "Not To Be Reproduced" in Los Angeles performing a cover of "Hustlin" by Rick Ross.
Not To Be Reproduced began in 2007 as an underground vintage boutique within a two-bedroom Hollywood Hills bungalow, and has quickly grown into a monthly series of in-house events, parties, and exhibitions - as they write on their website.
I'm actually going to Los Angeles in a few days and I hope to have time to visit NTBR.
Until that - here's Lykke Li performing at NTBR

VINTAGE INSPIRATION

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
I absolutely love to look back in fashion history - especially when it means to gaze at vintage fashion campaigns. I'm very inspired by the way the women are styled and I love the campaigns that use few tools to get your attention. A beautiful woman photographed by a great photographer, few colours and a simple layout is all I need. The first ad is a Valentino ad that creates a universe of luxury and glamour - which definitely is values I would expect from Valentino. The second one is a Christian Dior, which also is luxury, but here the woman looks more androgenic with a jacket, and I really love this one. The last one is an ad for the French designer Sonia Rykiel, which captures the French chicness and elegance.

AMANDA

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Despite the crisis - who doesn't have a crisis right now? - I think it's amazing to see how Copenhagen slowly is developing into an influential fashion capital. We have great designers and photographers and - not to forget - great looking models.
Amanda Nørgaard is one of my favorite new models. She rocked the previous Copenhagen Fashion Week, and I hope we'll see more of her in this coming fashion week.

HELLO

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
I'm happy to hopefully be your inspiration in the following week.
My name is Signe and to let you know a little bit about me, I want to tell you what I love.
I love fashion, chocolate, Chanel jackets, the sound of laughter, ice cream, Self Service, french movies, babies, vintage clothes, Audrey Tautou, Bob Dylan, dancing, evening gowns, breasts, kissing my boyfriend, sunbathing, playing loud music, dressing up, bubble-baths, my girlfriends and things that make me smile.
The reason I've been picked for this job, is because of Wunderbuzz. Wunderbuzz is a blog - but not the typical style-blog. I don't write about which clothes I wear and which parties I attend, other people do that much better than me. I write about things I find inspiring and here I am!
I'm thrilled to be picked as a guest-blogger on Copenhagen Fashion Weekend, and I hope you'll find my posts inspiring.

GESTUZ AND THEIR PLAYSUITS

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
During fashion week in February As Øland (Danish stylist) and I styled the

SWEDISH DESIGN

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
The Swedish designers are definitely among the most talented
when it comes to craftsmanship and concept. Three of my favorites are Ann
Sophie Back, Helena Hörstedt and Sandra Backlund - they're not really
comparable, but their designs all have that clean Scandinavian detail
oriented feel to them. I wouldn't mind seeing one of their shows, nor owning
a special piece from one of their collections some day!

FOR THE LOVE OF VINTAGE

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
We are all big fans of vintage and 2ndhand stuff, and Copenhagen offers a great deal of hidden treasures. We often go to the street Studiestræde and the surrounding area, in which you cannot miss the shops København K (Studiestræde 32B and Teglgårdsstræde 4) and Wasteland (Studiestræde 5). In Copenhagen V, our favourite 2ndhand shop is "Genbrug" (Vesterbrogade 79) who has all the 80's glam dresses and leather jackets your heart may desire.

VANILLA & LIQUORICE

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Yesterday's weather turned out much hotter than I had imagined when I got dressed in the morning. That's the problem with the Danish summer - you can never predict whether it's going to be hot, cold, windy or rainy, which often ends with one catching a cold. To cool down I stopped by Summerbird (Kronprinsensgade 11) to try out their new ice cream. They dipped the summerbird shaped ice cream in white chocolate and sprinkled it with liqourice. It was so delicious and on top of that it matched my outfit perfectly! How lucky can one get?

Today I wore a secondhand dress and one of my favourite bags from the danish brand Black Lily (blacklilly.dk). They have a great selection of bags in fantastic quality - and believe it or not, they are very affordable.

K29

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
The other day I found the newly opened shop K29 in Kompagnistræde 29, Copenhagen K. It is like a department store for the swedish designers MaxJenny, Margareta Forslund and the silversmith Owe Johansson. They also have nordic brands such as Monies.
Furthermore they sell unique dresses, coats og accesories - all with a very scandinavian look to them. I have always loved Monies voluminous jewellery but sadly I don't own any. The black rings made of wood though are very affordable and will probably end up in my jewellery box in the future. They are beautiful yet quite obscene ....in a VERY good way!

PEEPS SHOPPING

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Lately, I've developed an expensive habit - shopping online. It's very addictive. This shirt from www.peeps.org is my most recent purchase. I wanted to save it for Copenhagen Fashion Week, but I had to wear it Saturday night when we went to see the Britney Spears concert in Parken. I really like the combination of the loose fit and the details on the sleeves, which makes it usable for both day and night. I can't wait to try it on with my favourite worn out denim shorts!

I am sure it will be perfect for barbecues and garden-parties this summer.

A handful of our favorite stores have had to give in and close this year. Luckily we still have a few good places to get nice garments. One of them is to be found on Østerbro and it's called Goods. Here you can find brands like Acne, Adidas Original, Garbstore, Folk and Shöfolk - if you can find it, that is. It's located on Classensgade below the pavement and a narrow stairway hides the entrance. In the street you will find other great stuff as well, such as nice food and drinks.

EAST EDEN

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
We both live in the eastern part of Copenhagen and despite of the fact that it's not the center of the city there are still a lot of good places to check out. When travelling we always realize that nothing can match a good Danish bakery. Verona is a small organic bakery on Rosenvængets Allé and it's definitely worth a visit. The danish is delicious, the buns are yummy, the brown bread is tasty and their cakes are good too. The street is also very charming, so go grab a bite with a coffee to go and enjoy the East side of town.

WESTEND

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
This small street, in the middle of Vesterbro, Copenhagen is one of those places I would die to live one day. Obviously it looks fantastic, but its history is even more fantastic! Originally it was mend to be a brothel street , but a change of law in 1904 put a stop to those plans. In stead it became a place for actors and other stage people, and to day it is a very popular place to live. French bohemian - Moulin Rouge style - in the middle of Copenhagen, that's off the hook!

Frede goes choc and nuts

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Yesterday we went out to have a coffee with Frede from Fredesblog.wordpress.com. The scene of crime was a place called Sort Kaffe og Vinyl (Black Coffee and Vinyl), and as the name tell, it's a place to get coffee and old vinyl records. The atmosphere is very cozy and authentic, the coffee is good and the people are nice to you. It's located on Skydebanegade, very close to Øksnehallen, where the CPH Vision Fair is during Copenhagen Fashion Week. Frede brought us each a homemade cookie with chocolate and nuts - yum! It's definitely not the last time we visit that great little mocha-spot.

ADAM'S RIDE

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Today we ran in to Adam Hjort from the fantastic men's shop Il. He showed us his new car, an old Lada Niva, A small authentic city cruiser, still having the USSR sign on the side. Unfortunately it wasn't all happiness and laughter. He told us, that he will be closing his shop in a couple of weeks. The crisis is getting a bit too much I think, the city is just not the same anymore.

MEMORY SWING

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
A little while ago I went to the suburb where I grew up. I was hit by the beautiful, flowery smell from the privet hedges there, and the scent took me on a trip down memory lane, back to when I was nine or so. Everything was so uncomplicated and idyllic. Today I came by this blue swing and took the whole trip back to that time again. I really like the blue color and I would love to have one in my living room to sit on and have a moment to myself.

FASHION FESTIVAL

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
During Roskilde Festival, Danni and I did some photographing for the magazine, which included a bit of street style shots. Even though we normally don't do that kind of photos, it was fun and quite inspiring. There are more well-dressed people in the dust, than you think! These guys are pretty low key, but you don't always have to do that much to get it right. The plain tees, denim shorts and wayfarers are all classics that should never go out of style.

THE BODEGA

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Fashion week is not all about clothes, champagne and glamour, not the one in Copenhagen that is. It is almost just as much about meeting up in small secret bars at night, far away from all the hype and keeping it on the low. There's nothing like a Tuborg Classic in one of those spots that have been serving them for ages, and the only reason they're still around, is because of all the alcoholics who frequently drops by. Yes, the bodega is in fashion again - the more authentic the better, and here is a good one, located in the north western part of Copenhagen, which, by the way, is the new hotspot for Copenhagen hipsters - most of them just don't know yet.

INSPIRATION STATION

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
When we seek inspiration we often grab our cameras and go for a bike ride without a predefined destination. It allows us to find interesting places we didn't know, or rediscover stuff we forgot existed. Like when we came by this old gas station from 1937, designed by Arne Jakobsen, on Kystvejen in Charlottenlund. Today it's protected, though you can still refill your car and get delicious ice cream from the shop. We love the design and function all together.

JAN AHLGREN BACKSTAGE

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
I just finished a backstage story from Swedish designer Jan Ahlgrens latest campaign shoot, for the next issue of Euroman. Morten Bjarnhoff did the original photography, but Danni and I went out there to do the backstage shooting. A line up counting about 25 models on the beach, and a not that warm breeze was the conditions, and I can tell you - the final result is great. You should look forward to it.
Check out the next issue for an interview and article about the designer, but until then, here's a couple of the shots we did.

KIOSK NORDHAVNEN, COPENHAGEN

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Both of us live just by Nordhavnen, and love to spend time out there. True, there's not too many fashion shops or art gallerys (yet), but it has this old school masculine vibe, that not many other places in Copenhagen have. It is the perfect place when you need to clear your head, do an alternative picnic, or do a lot of photographing. Big cranes, containers, and this cool kiosk, is all out there. But don't tell anybody, we like to keep it a secret.

A JAZZY KIND OF STYLE

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
About a week ago, we came across these guys, jazzing up the city. They are Copenhagen residents and during the warmer months they entertain the pedestrians at Kultorvet, with their repertoire of jazz classics. We really like their style and attitude and best of all, they actually sound good!
We would like to see more of this kind of talent getting the limelight they deserve, in the streets of Copenhagen.

LONDON CALLING

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
This is the three beautiful ladys I got to party with. From left: Eva, Johanne and Anne.
FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
A classic spot, and from here I always know how to find Dover Street Market
Last week Roskilde Festival made us dance in the dust, and sweat till we dropped, but I had a small trip to London in the middle of it all. The German jewellery Thomas Sabo threw a launch party for their new collection of watches, so I left the dirt and warm beer, to check in on the Walldorf Hilton hotel, accompanied by Anne Mønsted from Costume, Eva Helmbæk from IN and Johanne from the PR agency Holm & Bertung. It was nice to get a clean bed to sleep in, and a dip in the pool, before going back to my tent.

SUMMERTIME DENIM

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
The heat just got enough for me, so I decided to shorten my A.P.C. jeans and make them into a much more wearable piece for the summer. Now I've got myself a really nice pair of selvage shorts. Sometimes it's a good investment to sacrifice something great, in order to get something even better. I will definitely be wearing them during Copenhagen Fashion Week in August. I simply love them!

THE LOOK BOOK JOB

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Recently we did a photoshoot for a friend, Rikke Juul Olesen. She just graduated from Magretheskolen, a Copenhagen based design school. The job was to make a look book for her exam collection. The model is Frede from fredesblog.wordpress.com (and copenhagenfashionweekend.com 's first blogger) and the location we chose was Amager Strandpark. We really liked the light and surroundings out there and the outcome turned out just as we had hoped. Who knows, maybe next year Rikke's collection will be shown at Copenhagen Fashion Week?

WE WELCOME THIS WEEKS BLOGGERS FROM No41.DK

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
We are two guys from Copenhagen with good taste as our main concern.
Andreas is a Euroman resident and Danni is studying to become a Design Technologist.
No41.dk is our portfolio of everything we like, see and discover, and you are invited to join us.
The cameras are like extra body parts, always around our necks, and we capture the city through our lenses. This is our lifestyle.

WE THANK FREDE FOR HER WEEK ON COPENHAGENFASHIONWEEKEND.COM

TO END FREDES BLOGGING PERIOD WE GIVE YOU AN INTERVIEW WITH HER, TELLING YOU WHAT SHE LOVES ABOUT FASHION WEEK AND WHERE YOU'LL FIND HER DURING THIS FASHION WEEK SS10.

FAVOURITE DESIGNERS
Some of my favourite Designers are Malene Westendahl from the brand
DANSK, i love their clothes because it is so easy to wear and still
look like you put an outfit together, their dresses always gets me
with the ruffles and feminine details. I'm also pretty impressed with
Vilsbøl de Arce, i like their sculptural features - especially their
body with huge exaggerated padded shoulders, those where genious!
STÆRK is also one of my favorites. The dark universe with the heavy
materials combined with silk and mesh is so alluring - and everything
is still very lady like and elegant, it's clothes that i would wear
now and in 20 years. Whyred, Acne and The Local Firm has got the
Scandinavian simple and clean style that i really like, it's very
wearable and at the same time they have got completely different styles
and the classics has always got twist.

FAVOURITE AW09 SHOWS
Last season, during CPH fashion week AW09, i thought some of the best
show i saw, was Soulland and Ivana Helsinki, both shows had humour and
i really liked that Ivana Helsinki had a live band on stage - that
went so well with the style of the clothes and the atmosphere. The
collection was very romantic with stars and cute dresses, but with
really rough details. Soulland had this little hide on the runway so
the models walked half way down the runway and into the hide, and on
the otherside a different model came out - i like the relaxed street
wear with funny prints and odd colours, it always works so well.

INSPIRATION
I'm very inspired by books. They allow you to make up the clothes
yourself - you read about the style, the atmosphere and the person and
maybe you get a description of their clothes - and if you don't, you
can make it up. I like to look at pictures of old movie stars - they
had style! and i can spend hours pretendig to be front row at all the
big shows on style.com or copenhagenfashionweek.com.
But i get most of my inspiration from opening my eyes where ever i am
- family dinner, party, field trip, surfing the TV channels, walking
the streets, reading blogs and magazines or browsing around in shops,
there is so much style every where - good and bad style that is.

MUSTSEES OF FASHION WEEK SS10
This season i really wish to see the Minimarket show, Soulland, Malene
Birger, Vilsbøl de Arce and Mulberry. Those are just some of the shows
i want to see, i would love to see almost any of the shows that are
presented this year - there's so many good ones!
I'm really looking forward to all the exciting events, Tunes on
Fashion sounds really cool and We Love, wich is a new concept by DANSK
of Denmark is also very interesting.

You can see all the shows in the show schedule on and all the events in the event schedule

THANKS FOR SAVING MY SUMMER BOBBI BROWN

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Bobbi as in Bobbi Brown saved my summer - with this amazing mascara.
I'm not a girl with long dark eyelashes, but I'm a girl that needs
long dark lashes or my eyes will disappear right there in my face... I
don't wear a lot of make-up, i don't know how to apply it or how to
use a highlighter or a concealer properly, so i stick to the basics of
mascara and blush, and if we're crazy i throw on some eyeliner. So
every summer i have the choice to be eyeless or to hang around with
mascara on my cheeks because of the warm weather, but a couple of days
ago i bought this mascara and i accidentally wore it while taking a
swim in the ocean - and when i got home everything was still in the
right place and i have been wearing it ever since (2 days that is).
Lovely, so thanks Bobbi!

AS IF

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
If i were doing the Roskilde festival thing - which I'm definitely
not - i think (from looking at all the Roskilde street style) that i
would wear this outfit. But since i'm never gonna sport this shit at
Roskilde, i might as well wear it on a regular day.
Denim shorts from Hong Kong, Monday lace body, cropped tank from Att.,
plaid shirt from DANSK, AA fanny pack and Ray Ban shades oh and of
course the good old Doc's.

But I'm not at Roskilde, I'm in my couch with my kimono and a big bowl
of strawberries with cream - my fave snack!

SATURDAY

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Saturday i just wanted to wear my ruffled green DANSK dress again,
it's really my favourite dress this summer - so dressy and easy to
wear at the same time!
I wore it with my neon orange Marni sandals and my power necklace from
Jewels CPH.

FRIDAY GRILL

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
On my way to my own grill party and some tanning on the beach with my
boyfriend and our friend Simon - the other guys couldn't make it,
everyone is aparently on Roskilde Festival or working... I'm in denim
shorts, monki top, leopard bikini, Marni sandals and FON bracelet.

OH SO COMFY

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
I really needed some comfortable clothes to run around and fix stuff
and what could be better than my ripped wrangler shorts and and AA two
toned heart top. Not much to it.

SHOE WALL OF FREDE

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
This is my shoe shelf where all my favourites shoes is lined up,
except the expensive ones - they're always sleeping in their boxes.
I change the wall now and then, so it doesn't look the same and when i
get new shoes, they have to be up there at least a week, so i can
admire them. The rest of my shoe collection is spread all over the
apartment or in boxes in my closet.

MY FIRST TIME

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
...in the water that is!
I went to my little house with a garden right by Amager strand to do
some tanning and take a swim in the ocean, first time this year! It
was so cold but really nice - and a good excuse to sport some
swimwear, and a reason to buy new!
So most of my day was spent on a blanket in the grass with chips and
magazines, that's what i call summer.

I HEART ANIMAL PRINT

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Yesterday i woke up and immediately wanted to wear something with
animal print on it. So it was this tank from GT, denim shorts from
Hong Kong, necklace from H&M and hat from Brixton - that landed on me.

THIS IS WHAT I GOT

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
I bought this sweatshirt and this tote bag in Force of Nature, and i
got the bracelet as well. The sweat is so soft and comfortable - but
it's undeniably way to warm to wear it in this raging heat! The tote
bag is perfect and replace my old FON tote bag, it's even in a thicker
canvas material and has longer straps - which i like because I'm
always biking around.
The bracelet is just so cute with the sailor look and it's not too girly for me.

Force of Nature, Copenhagen //Nørrebro

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
I biked all the way to Nørrebro again, and had lunch with my beautiful
cousin in the sun - and guess what? i had a coke (glass bottle). Then
i swung by Force of Nature to see if they had got more of the FON YSL
tribute sweats left, and they had! So i bought one right away, along
with at tote bag (same print) and a really cute bracelet. Instead of
showing you a picture of the stuff i got i want to show you Stine and
the shop, it's decorated like a funeral store and it is so well done
with white flowers i big vases and an old mahogoni desk. They carry a
lot of really nice brands like Soulland, Permanent Vacation and they
also make a few styles themselves.

LUMBERJACK

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Today i was wearing WAY to much clothes - i nearly had a melt down in
Panduro Hobby - combination of heat and anger because they didn't have
any studs, i had this really great idea on how to pimp my white
t-shirts.
I was wearing plaid shirt from DANSK, Top from MONKI, skirt from AA,
necklaces from H&M, bracelet from Force Of Nature and shoes from
Vagabond.

DANSK DESIGNLABEL

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Wednesday i biked all the way from Vesterbro across the water and over
to Islandsbrygge, Amager to visit DANSK design studio.
I wanted to look at the new SS10 collection and to hear more about a
really interesting project they are working on.
Unfortunately most of the collection was out, so we just hung out and
talked about the project called WE LOVE, which is an event starting
during Fashion Week SS10 where young up and coming photographer or
artists can get the chance to show their work - I can't wait to hear
more, i think it sound so cool!
Anyway, i really like the way they designed their studio, very simple
and with flexible worktables you can move around. Besides DANSK there
is also a graphic designer and a photographer working in the studio -
lots of nice creative brains!

OH THEM SHOES

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
I have a weakness for shoes, so i went by the best 2ndhand shoe shop
in Copenhagen (Vesterbro) that is called GENBRUG to check out their selection, and it was extravagant! They had all these pretty little shoes in every imaginable color and i found ten thousand pairs - or maybe not - that i wanted to buy,
but i think i'm OK. Shoes I have lots of....

FLOWERS AND FRINGES

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
I was feeling all frisky and summer-ish so i put on my flower dress
from DANSK and dug out my purple suede fringe sandals from China, put
on a hat and went out to have a cold Coca Cola (in a glass bottle of
course) in the sun with my friend at Enghave plads.

THE BAG OF FREDE

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
I have a lot of bags, small ones, big ones, useless ones and ugly ones
- but i have one favorite and it's more like af canvas shopping bag...
It's from Force Of Nature and it has this really cool print on it that
says 'I'm every woman it's all in me' like that whitney houston song,
remember?
Anyway i carry a lot of stuff around - here's what i got.
Miu Miu wallet, Marni glasses - so i can see people, camera bag, NYLON
Magazine - i like to have some reading stuff with me, Hand lotion,
Phone ( i have a fancier one, but i broke it...), Lip Balm from NUXE -
no bad stuff or parfume in it, Leopard hair bow - so i can dress up in
a party emergency, Tissues - i constantly have a cold, Rosebud lip
balm, Hair thing, Moleskine notebook - i have to write things down to
remember it, pencil - old school, Monki sunglasses, vintage sunglasses
- i always carry several pairs, in case i lose them and keys

VINYL BREAKFAST

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
When ever i get the chance, i go to Sort Kaffe og Vinyl on vesterbro,
for coffee and cinnamonrolls. It's my favorite place to sit and enjoy
coffee in the sun when the weather is good.
I went with my boyfriend, and i was wearing t-shirt dress from AA, hat
from Brixton and my favorite sneakers - my white on black suede Adidas
Gazelle. My brother gave them to me for my birthday last year and it
was the best gift ever, he bought them in San Fran - you can't even
get that color combo in Denmark.

MULATA, COPENHAGEN //AMAGER STRANDPARK

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009 FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Sunday night me and my boyfriend wen't to this new beach bar/grill
place at Amager strand, it is a really nice place where you can listen
to music and drink nice cuban cocktails in the sand. They also had
really nice food.
It's was really hot so i wore a body from GT, jeans shorts from Levi's
and a vintage sweater (for later).
On our way home we stopped by a little old school candy shop in
Frederiksberg and got a candy wrist watch!

BENJI AND THE HELMET

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
I met up with my very good friend Benji for ice cream and coffee, and
thought he looked very nice in jeans and DIY cut out tee. And the best
thing: he wears a helmet when he bikes, which i think is a very cool -
and responsible thing to do, even though you might be afraid to look
stupid.

KOREAN DINNER

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Monday night i had dinner at a Korean restaurant i KBH K with my
boyfriend and his family, i love food and i love going out for dinner!
It's relaxing and there is NO dishes to wash afterwards!
My outfit was a silk dress from china, cut off nylons, denim jacket
and Vagabond platform shoes.
(picture)

TOURING 2NDHAND SHOPS, COPENHAGEN //NØRREBRO

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Monday, I spend my afternoon checking out the stores at nørrebro, I
don't usually spend a lot of time there so it was nice to explore new
territory.
I found some great 2ndhand shops at Skt. Hans gade and I fell in love
with this quilted short jacket with huge puffy shoulders in a very
colorful flower print - hmm the description doesn't do it justice so
take a look at the picture. I didn't buy it, since I'm broke, but
maybe I have to go back tomorrow...
(picture)

IN MEMORIAM

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Oh and i just saw this really cool Michael Jackson grafitti on Sdr. boulevard //Vesterbro, Copenhagen - RIP MJ

SUNNY SUNDAY SUIT

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
Sunday i was a bit hung over, so me and my boyfriend spend a couple of
hours sleeping and reading in the sun at Enghave parken with chips and
Coca Cola (my latest obsession, it's indescribably cool to drink out of the old glass bottles). I reread one of my favorite books 'Chloe does Yale' by Natalie Krinsky.
Later i met up with my sister who just got back from 3 weeks in Asia -
it's good to have her back home!

DIY

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
I spend saturday afternoon browsing around the city. It's the end of
the month and i don't have a lot of money left so i decided to hit
Gina Tricot and check out their sale.
I found a pink and white striped body and a really pretty/ugly dress (see pic) that reminded me a little bit of Madonna or maybe just the hookers in
my neighborhood? Anyway, it's white with black lace detailing and i
think that it could be a nice DIY projekt... i'm thinking about dying
it black or grey - then it might lose the hooker feel?!

BBQ PARTY AT KB18, COPENHAGEN //VESTERBRO

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
This saturday the Klashy family hosted a BBQ outside KB18 in the
meatpascking district.
There was a big grill you could use and my friend Frederik Kragh was
playing nice and relaxing music with a twist.
Later the party moved inside KB18 and the raver helmets came on (see picture).

Dress from DANSK, sandals from H&M, Denim jacket and fannypack from AA.

THIS WEEK'S BLOGGER

FESTIVAL BLOGGERS AUGUST 2009
We welcome Frede from fredesblog.wordpress.com who is the first to blog for Copenhagen Fashion Weekend. She will be writting several times a day for the next week.
She sent us a short introduction, give it away Frede...

"Hi my name is Frederikke, but everyone just calls me Frede.
I'm 21 and I've lived in Copenhagen all of my life. I grew up in the
middle of the city, but 7 months ago I moved to Vesterbro and I like
it!
I spend all of my time looking for new things and new ways to do old
things - in fashion and in life in general. I started
fredesblog.wordpress.com 4 months ago and now I'm addicted to it. I'm
very inspired by Swedish and danish blogs and I read them daily. I'm
very into shoes and i love my shoe collection and I'm always looking
for a pair of new shiny heels or fine comfortable sneakers that I can
add to my collection."
